Imam Javad University College offers discontinuous and continuous B.A. programs in English Language Teaching. These programs are designed for those who wish to learn the skills of teaching English to speakers of other languages.

Importance of learning English

English is an international language. No one denies the importance of English as a language. It is very common and spoken in many countries. It is clear that the English language has become more dominant all around the world. In some countries, it is the mother tongue or is used as the second language in schools. English is needed in different fields of life. It has become an ideal language for expressing views all around the world as well.
English may not be the most spoken language in the world, but it is the official language in a large number of countries. It is estimated that the number of people in the world that use English to communicate on a regular basis is 2 billion. English is the dominant business language and it has become almost a necessity for people to speak in English if they are to enter a global workforce. Research from all over the world shows that cross-border business communication is most often conducted in English. Therefore, its importance in the global market place cannot be understated.
Most of the content produced on the internet is in English. So knowing English will allow you access to an incredible amount of information which may not be otherwise available! Although learning English can be challenging and time consuming, we can see that it is also very valuable to learn and can create many opportunities!

  • Basic, Core Courses: 118 credits
  • Total: 136 credits

Note: Those who have answered less than 50% of technical language questions in Konkoor must take pre-requisite courses in English.
